How to: Erase a very large area in Paint.
Solution:
Delete the selection made with the selection tool.
NOTE: This solution assumes that Paint is opened.
1) Click the selection tool in the tool box.

2) Click and drag the mouse pointer over the item to be erased.
3) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Clear Selection'.
NOTE: The current background color is used to fill the cleared area.
